The message appears when you sign into your journal with an option to hide it or click and discover more. I did read a bit more but decided it’s not suitable for me and have now hidden the message. There was nowhere to decline it as it’s not in the actual journal bit and from a particular person so I’m thinking that the comment on benefits and work about getting an appointment booked automatically if you don’t respond is incorrect. I will update if such an appointment is booked for me

Ok. So its not like a normal journal message where you can reply? Its more of an automated notification?
We will just have to ignore it then, if we are unable to reply directly.
Also, I'm sure Benefits and Work wouldn't be advising people to just to ignore it if this resulted in people getting appts booked anyway. Surely there'd be posts on their forum and on here saying "help, i ignored this message but they booked an appt anyway, what do i do". It sounds like they have been sending these messages out prior to April this year.

AAnd... i dont think they have the manpower/time to be booking appts for everyone who didnt op-in, they are busy enough as it is.

I understand it all and if they was fair and truthful and had a duty of care for us all none of us would be terrified they have driven so much fear into alot of us i get very very scared then i get angry we submit our medical notes everything to state our illnesses over and over for me its like an abusive relationship that i cant escape i ask myself who would want this life i dont want to live like this ah sorry could go on and on i feel its got worse under laboir if thats possible and i know would be worse under farage i got a feeling he wont get in

I simply said no thanks, they thanked me for my reply. I haven't heard a thing about it since.

Hi. How did you do that? I have just logged in and have seen the message but there is nowhere to reply that im not interested. Did you make a journal entry to a work coach or what? I cant see how to do it. And what did you write?

it was a while ago, but I just replied via "Make a journal entry'.

Ok. So yours was an actual journal entry message from an actual named person?
This message on mine is as soon as i log in as a sort of banner (dont know how else to describe it) and not a journal entry from a named person.
"Thinking about work but don't know where to start? If you're disabled or have a health condition, you may be able to get personalised support, guidance and training. Trying it will not affect your claim and it's completely voluntary."
Then there are buttons" to click "find out how" or "hide this message".
If you click on "find out how" this is what it says...

Will this affect your claim?
Taking advantage of this support will not:
- affect the money you receive
- involve any reassessment of your health
- change any commitments in place
The only difference will be in the support you receive.

There is nowhere to reply that you arent interested at the moment. Im confused! I will obviously just have to ignore it for now. I clicked on "hide message" and it has disappeared.
I assume most others on here will just ignore too?

I only discovered that when I logged in to find those messages for you. A box popped up to dismiss it.

I havent had an email that says I have a journal update, does it trigger one?

Just had the same for my adult children who I am appointee for. I assumed there would be a response button but will wait and see if they get invited for appointments.

Me neither. Its not really an official notification or a journal update, its more like a banner advert as soon as you log in. I dont know how else to describe it!

No, I think it is just there for you to see when you next log on, it can be dismissed at the touch of a button.

@moosee ive logged into my UC journal a couple of times this week to see if any changes, like you I had the message in a banner to find out more or dismiss hide message I like you didn't have a way to reply so I've just clicked dismiss and logged out and logged back in and the message banner has disappeared now this had just been put on the us claim as a banner no way to reply I hope i will get okay with just that what I did as no name to reply to as you said have you logged back in again to see if the message is there? I checked my to do list which is empty and no name input with the message being created so I guess it's a automatic message put on the claim at this time but this is the first point of asking me about work in any way since last year when I migrated

HHi. Its just the same for me. There was no way to reply or decline so i just clicked "hide" message. It has disappeared. Same as you - the message hasnt reappeared since logging back in again and nothing further in my journal, no messages, nothing in to do list.
It is obviously just an automated announcement to everyone, letting us know that the service is available to us if we feel it would be useful/appropriate.
Hopefully thats it for now.
