Message for WhatThe
Good morning WhatThe,
I have not seen you online for a few days and cannot see a way to reach out to you privately. I hope you are doing okay and please say if I can help in any way. I felt your pain and really want to help if I am in any way able to.
Do not feel any pressure to respond, that is the last thing I want, I just wanted you to know that someone is thinking about you.
I'd be happy to share my email with you if that would be useful.
Emilee

Hi @Emilee,
It's a very kind gesture. Unfortunately we don't allow the sharing of personal information, including email addresses, even privately and breaches of this can see an account removed from the online community.
That said, I do hope that you and WhatThe are able to catch up soon.

Have you ever looked closely at your profile settings? 🤔

If you do find a way to get in touch, give them our regards and they're missed on the forum.
2 -
Have you also looked closely at your edit profile options? 😎

Prefer not to display my email address

Emilee 🤗
It means everything to be understood and believed, as you know.
I can only dip into this stuff periodically because it's so draining. Yes, my borough was one of the two who rolled it out in 2013 and declared it a success.

Me too, but those that look closely, for perhaps 15 minutes or so, who knows what they might find!

Your email address is clearly visible on your profile. That can be turned off using a tickbox.

I have indeed studied my edit settings carefully!

Hi @WhatThe Look forward to seeing you on the forum when you are able to.
Take care.

Oh, I see. I think we all got the wrong end of the stick there. You must be the only member who actually wants their email address available to everyone on the internet rather than just sending it to one trusted member at a time.😐️

@OverlyAnxious There are no facilities now to send a PM, but who knows, we might get that privilege back!
2 -
Fair point! Shows how long it's been since I sent a PM.
As Adrian said though, you're not 'allowed' to send email addresses by PM on here anyway.
(Not that I agree with it…the majority of people I met in the real world as an adult started through forums. Yet all of the health based forums prohibit private contact. Don't get me wrong, I understand why they do it, and I understand the responsibility they have. But it is another barrier that disabled people face, especially those of us stuck at home 24/7…how else are we meant to meet anyone if not online.)

If the PM facility was in operation, you could chat freely on there. The site still has profile settings, which some might find interesting, I have no opinion on the subject…
