PIP assessment
Hello , any advice would be so helpful . I have a PIP telephone assessment this week and I’m absolutely dreading it . I’ve heard many stories and feel sick and anxious about the whole thing . I have a fractured spine and osteoarthritis so the pain I’m in makes me more stressed. The only evidence they have are repeated fit notes from my doctor , any reassurance would be great thank you .

Assuming you kept a copy of your form, read through it before the assessment to remind yourself of your answers and the main points you want to make.

Hi
I agree with @MW123 and @Kimi87
They have given good advice.
When I had a telephone assessment it lasted an hour and I was questioned about everything I had wrote on the form.
It was very thorough.
I didn't submit much medical evidence because its how our disability affects us and I had submitted extra typed self testimony about that because there wasn't enough room on the form.
That was my previous assessment and I got a 3 year award.
This time it was paper based and I got a10 years "ongoing" award.
Enhanced on both mobility and daily living.
Good luck.

Hi @Toppy64 I can see you've had some really great advice from our members, so I don't have much more to add. Just thought I'd share a link to our website page about preparing for PIP assessments in case it's helpful - Preparing for your PIP assessment | Disability charity Scope UK.
Wishing you all the best with the assessment. 😊
