I was a huge football fan. Played from 12 until too old. Coached kids of all ages for 12 years, boys and girls ( girls were vicious, still got some scars …) watched any game on tv or local. EFL or grassroots. Never missed a Wales home game and even got to quite a few away games
… but haven't watched any game at all in over 2 years. Totally fallen out of love with the game.
Would much rather create digital art or music, or potter in the garden. Far too many very mediocre players on exorbitant money IMO

They have indeed but yes, you're right. Championship is going to be very tough. Love Woodhall Spa, it's a really pretty place. We used to go to the outdoor swimming pool there. What did you do in the RAF if you don't mind me asking @SwiftFox?

Catering, best job. At least you can have anything else to eat, if you don't the airman's mess set menu lol. Great job and free holidays and they even fly you there😉

I have enjoyed the Scottish League 1 game at Balmoor stadium - Peterhead v Inverness CT. No VAR, and proper football as far as I am concerned.

Best job in the services, absolutely. I told my daughter to forget the infantry. The cook is the business!

Dead right, after a night out in civvy street it was back to the sgts mess because they had a bar and then into the kitchen for a nosh. And always got a lift to the station to go home with military police and few rations lol..catering always pays Soapy, hard work though.

Did you go ort was it local radio?

No Catering Corps now, not since the massive cuts of 1994. The RLC is half the bloomin army these days.

It's awful now mate, it's gone down hill. tory cuts and labour cuts, where I did my square bashing was sold off..They all thought we didn't need the armed forces, but now they're thinking again.

She wanted to try the RAF Regiment, but I said no chance she would make it. The last lassie who tried had to live in a block herself, as all other recruits were male.

Tough regiment too..I certainly wouldn't encourage her to be honest, the R.A.F is ok and she'd learn a good trade to take into civvy street.

Girls have passed Pegasus Company, but not where cloistered and treated differently.

Is close to achieving a phD, all that stuff is thankfully in the rear view mirror. ( I am getting all this second hand, as we have no contact now, sadly).

Well good for them, I wasn't that clever for phd's lol..shame you're not in contact though

I've never been… always wanted to! Have you?

That's really impressive @SoapySoutar, you must be incredibly proud. May I ask what it's in? Also, just wanted to say I'm really sorry you're not in contact. I hope that in the future that changes.

I have, it was like going back in time, it's a lovely little cinema. If it's still there?.

I had to check as I've not been to Woodhall for a good year or two. It is still there though and they've got quite a variety on:
The Kinema In The Woods | Home
It's nice that it's still going. It's quite a unique place.
