Hi @WhatThe
The thread is still on the community😊 I've linked it belowAutism Acceptance Month April 2026 — Scope | Online Community

Thank you, Mary. It began as an announcement and has effectively disappeared from view.

Same thing that always happens, it got removed due to sniping and in-fighting by various other members.

Scope, you have retained the 'sticky' announcement re Autism and CP but I do not have CP.
Please reinstate the Autism Acceptance Month April 2026 announcement until the end of April, at least!

Please also reinstate Adrian's excellent statement about autism terminology!
We lost it when another thread was deleted this morning. Nobody has mild, slight or a bit of autism 🙄

Thanks for raising this. Not sure how that's happened as it absolutely should still be announced. It's been rectified now and will be up until the end of the month.
Adrian's comment is still there @WhatThe, it hasn't been removed - Is it a legal requirement to declare disabilities on job applications?
Just to add: Many charities, government bodies, and medical organisations have moved away from describing autism in terms of “severity,” as this language can be unhelpful and may risk people’s support needs being overlooked. However, not everyone follows this approach, and individuals are free to describe their own experiences in the way that feels right to them.

Thank you so much, Holly! I need a break after this.
1 -
That's understandable. Hope after a little break you feel better @WhatThe. I'm really sorry that happened.

The reason I described my own symptoms as mild is because I wasn't diagnosed as fully Autistic, they said 26 and half years ago nearly that I had what was then called Asperger's Syndrome, obviously it's changed to Autism Spectrum Disorder now.

Our symptoms may be mild but our condition is fully autistic.
(this is for us to debate and we are the experts!)
