The Guardian is Looking For Experiences of Blue Badge or Motability Harassment
The Guardian is currently looking to speak with disabled people who have experienced criticism, "policing," or harassment from the public regarding their Blue Badge or Motability vehicle.
The call out is being led by disabled journalist and author Frances Ryan (who wrote Crippled: Austerity and the Demonisation of Disabled People). She is looking to highlight the challenges and judgment many in our community face when simply trying to get around.
How to take part…
If you’d like to share your experience, you can fill out the form on The Guardian’s website here.
You can choose to remain anonymous if you prefer and your stories could help raise vital awareness of the "disability policing" that happens far too often.

A few years back we applied to Sheffield City Council for a blue badge, however, because I don't trust the local Postal service to not lose important documents, we were sending "copies" and not the original evidence documents, which were refused by the Council, they insisted on the originals.
The reason I don't trust the Post mainly stems from them losing the items in transit the last 4 out of 5 times I sold anything on eBay.
