Has anyone driven a Mobility Scooter?

I've hired one a couple of times from the Shopmobility stand in Meadowhall, driving one's a laugh, and I managed it quite well.

I used to use a mobility scooter back when I was a teenager as my main mobility aid. I could walk a bit at the time but not far so it was nice to have the opportunity to get out and about independently. Really boosted my mental health as I wasn't getting out much otherwise!
I also got very good at parallel parking it into tight gaps 😁

If they weren't so expensive and I had room for one here I'd get one myself instead of hiring from Shopmobility, even second hand on eBay they're a fortune.

There are so many mobility options nowadays....
I have a four-wheel mobility scooter going on two years now. It saved my life, as prior to that, I had been virtually immobile and housebound for a 1-1/2 years. It's great to carry a ton of stuff, like groceries. The downside is there are lots of places I can't go with it because it's too big and heavy, such as many elevators, any stairs, lots of stores and other buildings that aren't accessible, and streets without dipped curbs.
A few months ago, I bought a foldable electric tricycle (doesn't use pedals), which has opened a lot more places. I bought a model a little cheaper than this one.…
Also you can buy a kick scooter and add a seat, which could be as little as £100...
They've also just come out with a three-wheeled kick scooter for £99...
I wish I was so rich as to be able to make the world accessible for all of us. ❤️

At least you get a 12 month warranty, as opposed to 'as seen' on the likes of ebay. How much are you looking to spend?

The Supersport has been around since the 1990s, a really decent machine, very comfortable. I have a TGA Breeze 4S, but nearly got a Supersport.
My boot scooter is by Motion Healthcare, the Alumina Pro, just like this one but with the 40 ah battery and a front light.
