Name Needed?
After some time trying to rescue a dog I decided to get a pup instead to keep me occupied (and he is keeping me busy)!
So today I collected a male miniature dachshund who I need a name for?
Names on a postcard pleaseplease🙂

How about Sausage? Well they do call Daschunds "Sausage Dogs" lol.

Hi @onmylonesome he is lovely. How about a name like Gus. What ideas do you have for a name?
Take care.

Aww he's lovely. I'm sure he'll keep you nice and busy! Going with the hot dog theme, how about Mustard, Ketchup, or Frank (short for frankfurter)?

Can't think of one at the moment but I do like @Rachel_Scope suggestion of Frank.

It's actually my son's name @onmylonesome! Not after the frankfurter though 😂

We had a British bull dog called Frank.. I think the pup is definitely a 'Sheldon'

I'm honoured that you've chosen my suggestion! I look forward to lots of pictures of little Frank 😊

So cute. Mydaughter and her boyfriend have a game whenever they're out and about, they have to take a photo of the daschunds they see and send it to the other with the caption … Selseg … welsh for sausage. Not sure what the score is …
Looks like a Max or a Bruno to me 🙂

I hope you and Frank have many happy moments together! Weren't you the one going for daily walks if I remember correctly? Do you think he is up to that? It would be so nice for the both of you to go to the park together.

Thank you for your kind words, yes I do a lot of walking but Frank wont be up for long walks yet as he is only 10 weeks old.

Oh my goodness, I think my heart just melted @onmylonesome . I was just chatting on another post about the idea of getting a dog, and this little guy is far too cute.
I honestly wouldn’t even know what to name him, but I love his colouring and his little curious face.
I’d really love it if you could share updates on how he’s getting on, and what it’s like adjusting to having a new dog at home, it’s something I’ve been worrying about quite a lot.

A puppy should walk no further than 5 minutes per month of age, as hard as that can be to stick to. My Staffy will be 8 years old in 3 weeks time, and I am putting his athletic abilities down to the restraint I showed as he developed.
People who don't know him, they think he is a much younger dog, especially those who have obese dogs of only 3 or 4 years old. 'But he likes ice cream' 🙄

Indeed, I am definitely a crazy cat lady, no idea about puppies and the do's and don'ts. But I can imagine Onmylonesome having fun with Frank in the future, to go to a park and throw a ball or something.

Definitely. A wee dog can still chase a ball!

And a wee dog can also give you loads of oxytocin :)

10 mins of chasing a toy around the living room is enough for him atm then he is ready for a nap 😂
