Royal Mail Handling Site Timelines?
Hi all, I'm just interested to know if anyone has experienced delays with PIP documents being scanned onto system when sent to the "Wolverhampton A" mailing site? My review paperwork was delivered on Fri 10 April pm but still not on system and no text message yet… getting a bit anxious (ok- a LOT anxious) at the thought of maybe having to send it all again, although I have a copy it still takes ages to do all the evidence etc again! I'm increasingly hearing of people posting one day, and getting a 'we have your form' text 3-4 days later (could be different mail centres ) Is anyone aware of anything or happy to share own experiences? Thanks

Hi, no I have never experienced any delays but there are no particular set time frames and people have their own unique experiences when claiming
benefits.
How do you know your paperwork still isn't on the system?

Thanks for answering - I called up to check and a worker said not, but gave it another extension

I've had a ton of problems with the post in general, not just the fact the last 4 out of 5 times I sold on eBay, I've sent stuff off and it's gone walkies.

Hi
I don't know what was meant by 'give it another extention', that was quite unhelpful but if they received your paperwork on Friday the 10th then Saturday and Sunday aren't classed as working days so thats only a week in terms of actual working days and I expect you will get an acknowledgement soon.

Yes
Mine to 2 half weeks to get to Wolverhampton
I was very stressed and worried
Finally had a text saying they had received my paperwork
18 days after I posted it
Still waiting to see if I still will. Get it
I added 3 more new health conditions

It's been delivered to the mail handling centre. It just hasn't been scanned onto the DWP system yet by the staff at the mail handling centre - luvpink sorry if I was unclear, by 'givee it another extension' I mean that they have extended the deadline for receiving the paperwork on their system by another 3 weeks.

I'm glad you did get acknowledgement Amberpearl! Let's hope it doesn't take too long for them to come back to you with a decision

Post is terrible where I am, royal mail don't prioritise letters. So hospital appointments, dwp letters and others aren't considered important. I had to go to the sorting office last year when my 2nd debit card hadn't arrived . Only to find them both there, its disgusting. I also sent two packages one to Kent and one to France, both took a week to get there.arrived the same day.

it all seems so random doesn't it! Mine has been delivered at the DWP mail handling centre, just still not scanned onto their system, 10 working days tomorrow since it was delivered :(

Update - I FINALLY got the 'we have your PIP review forms' this morning, so that is 12/13 working days , 17 inc weekends since it was delivered to mail room! So yes, id does seem that Wolverhamptom mail centre are having delays. What a relief not to have to send it all again and worry all over again! Now to await the outcome 🤨

The post is very poor. DWP aside, I've had two envelopes lost in April. I'm currently waiting for a 48-hour tracked delivery. The package hasn't shifted from a Royal Mail hub in 4 days. People tell me it's a waste of money but for DWP, I've always used Special Next-Day Delivery. It's a worry that incoming items might not reach us. I sermon get more than one or two posts per week.

It wasn't Royal mail in my case, they delivered next day to DWP mail handling…. it was whoever processes, opens and scans the stuff, but yes, it is nowhere near as reliable as times past - we only get mail deliveries in our area about 3 times a week if it's not Special Delivery!

Royal Mail isn't perfect, but other couriers such as Evri or DPD are even worse IMO, most sellers on eBay use Evri for deliveries because of how cheap they are, and it's happened several times that even stuff sent by them's gone missing in transit.
Although to be fair I've had some decent deliveries from Evri over the last few weeks, including 2 items from Temu last night.

Evri here are good when they're good … but if anything does go wrong they're a nightmare to get hold of! and DPD …. well our house has been here nearly 100 years and they can never manage to deliver. It's funny, before all the tech we never had an issue, as delivery drivers used to just ask someone in the village. Long live the human touch eh?

Up to around this time last year I lived in an HA Flat in Sheffield, which didn't come up on Satnavs, so the majority of Taxi drivers and delivery drivers couldn't find me, caused no end of problems.
