Transitional protection arrears of Enhanced disability premium - disregarded?
Hi,
Last year I received a lump sum of Transitional protection arrears of Enhanced disability premium, they said it was due to underpayment.
From what I've searched online it looks like this will be disregarded as capital for the length of my UC claim. Is that correct?
Thanks :)

Hi,
If it's more than £5000 it should be disregarded for the life of the claim.

Now they've told me it was only disregarded for 12 months… is this correct?🤔

I heard the same that UC only disregard for 12 months now, regardless of amount. I don't know for sure though, it is just what I read

I have seen this happen a few times recently, but I'm not sure whether the rules have changed or whether it's just an error on their part.
This the actual regulation, it doesn't appear to have been amended since 2019.
