Fully staffed care Home in Sheffield, England, Planet Earth?
The above is required urgently, I've lived where I currently live for just over 4 months, and lately every time I want to do anything they turn round and tell me no because they've got no staff!
As you can probably imagine this is seriously becoming annoying as it's every time apart from pre-booked weekly activities such as my Taekwondo class and my digital arts course.
Anyway, without telling me to use Google, would anyone know of a reliable care Home/service in Sheffield with a full compliment of staff on site 24/7?
Preferably people who drive?

Hello @SheffieldMan1976
I'm sorry no one has been able to help so far, unfortunately it's difficult for us to give recommendations as we don't allow advertising.
I understand your frustration though, it does seem unfair just how much they have cancelled on you lately. Have you or your family raised a complaint with your current care home?

I have but it falls on deaf ears, all they ever tell me is that they do not have the staff to facilitate my requests, and other residents have priority over me for going out because they've lived there longer and have pre-planned activities.
I also have pre-planned stuff such as Comic Cons and Taekwondo related events but it annoys me that they require about 50 years notice to arrange anything (slight exaggeration but I'm rather angry)

Hi @SheffieldMan1976 Do you feel trapped? What you're describing is how it is for me when I'm inpatient for a psychiatric crisis, and I feel trapped - because I am. Does that sound about right?
BTW, I had my first martial arts class just now. My mind and body are blown away. Thanks again for your encouragement and example.

I do, this is supposed to be a Home, it feels more like forced incarceration because of the lack of being able to go out due to the lack of availability of staff and transport.
However, I predicted it'd happen, this is why about 15 years ago I objected to weekend support in general because I predicted it'd happen eventually that staff wouldn't be available!
If only I was that good at predicting the flippin' National Lottery numbers!

That's how I feel too when inpatient - not only trapped but also being punished, so more like incarcerated.
While you're looking for another residence, is there any way you can do more things inside on your own? What I mean is like are you allowed to go to the garden, assuming they have one? Are you allowed to listen to music in the recreation room? When I'm in lockdown I'm not allowed to do anything at all. But on the main ward I can do limited activities. (Luckily I haven't been admitted since 2013 so it's a distant memory.) Or maybe you can ask the staff for suggestions of more to do? I'm housebound a lot now so have many things to do at home. Can you add stuff?

Also, they've known since before day 1 that I have almost NO patience, yet they **** me off all the more on an almost daily basis.

So you lack patience? From one superhero to another, you should never divulge the location of your Kryptonite. Under no circumstances. ⚠️
