Struggling so much with the new PIP review form, I don't know how to fill

I have left off the PIP review form for a couple months now and now they have cancelled my payments, I have been extremely overwhelmed, I already get the enhanced daily and standard mobility (it should have been enhanced because of my sickness)

I have severe OCD:

Activity 1 - Preparing food and cooking

25: Do you need to use an aid? For example, perching stool, grabbers or adapted cutlery?

I don't cook due to severe OCD which I have had since 2016, I don't cook because of my fear of contamination and constant obsessions that I will have an allergy reaction.

Do I tick yes or no?

    Hi welcome to the community.

It sounds like you would benefit from some guidance with your pip application.

Have you tried Citizens advice bureau or a local welfare rights organisation?

You would only get enhanced mobility if your disability affects you to the extent that you meet the descriptors for that activity and not purely because of an illness.

You need to explain in as much detail as you can any limitations/difficulties you may experience that prevent you from performing the activity in a safe and timely manner.

If you use aids to enable you to perform an activity such as a perching stool, grabbers or adapted cutlery then state that and explain why you need to use them, how they help you and what would happen/how would you be able to manage without them.

You say you don't cook but they may assume that is your choice and not award you points on that basis.

If you can't cook, rather than you don't cook you need to explain why and how your disability prevents you from doing so.

Its never a good idea just to tick yes or no.

Try to give some real examples of any difficulties you may experience.

Fill the boxes in as much detail as you can and add extra sheets of self testimony if you feel you need to.

Put you name and national insurance number on any extra sheets.

I always keep photo copies for future reference and to refer back to if I disagree with their scoring or decision and I may need to dispute it.

    Good luck.
