    Hi,

UC have made an error because the system hasn't applied the ESA increase correctly. This has happened to a few people since the rates increased this month.

You will need to contact UC and explain that they've paid you too much this month.

The ESA letter is confusing but it just means you no longer get income based ESA because that was replaced by UC. There isn't a problem with the ESA letter, that is correct. You should continue to get ~£290 every 2 weeks contributions based ESA.

You will continue to get ESA every 2 weeks at around £290. The contributions based part was not replaced by UC.

You need to tell UC they have overpaid you. They will not automatically rectify it.
