back dated child dla
hey guys
yesterday a tribunal allowed my sons dla appeal for higher rate care. This is for a two year period from 23-25. his review was refused so this is another appeal scenario .
i was wondering how i go about getting any backdated money he is due, i am also on UC and receive LCWRA myself.
any help would be great

Hi @mellieg11. I found this information for you.
You’ll start receiving your money every 4 weeks (unless the DWP wishes to challenge the decision further - this only happens in a small number of cases).
The DWP will also have to pay you everything they should have been paying you from the date of your claim. It normally takes 4 to 6 weeks for this money to come through.
So you shouldn't need to do anything. It should be done automatically. Hope that's helped.
