Health Benefits under reform
it’s looking more likely that reform will win the next election and I was even considering voting for them , but I’ve just found out Farage is planning on punishing and scrapping or cutting all health benefits , so that people like myself who are unable to work because of severe health issues will be forced to work even though I can’t even leave the house , will this happen or will they change their minds

Hi @whufcjay, it's worth having a close look at the manifestos and promises that the political parties are making to see how it would affect you and those around you.
Not every political party sticks to their promises once they get in, but if a party is campaigning based on a specific goal such as cutting benefits, it's likely that they will work towards that goal in some way if they're elected. If they didn't at least try to bring in some of the changes they promised before being elected, it would be pretty unpopular with the people who voted for them.
As I said earlier, it's a good idea to read up on what the parties have planned so you can make an informed choice when you come to vote and choose what's right for you ☺️

Im trying to tbink alot can change between now and then otherwise of course it becomes so scary its good you see thier plans anf i hope many many other people do

I'm voting Green, at the GE in 2024 they said they'd look after the disabled, but then so did Labour at the time and look what's currently happening?!

So it wouldn't concern you about the mistreatment of migrants etc, but you draw the line at your benefits being stopped?
I can't imagine voting for such an extremist lot, no matter if they doubled my benefits.

when the far-right media platforms a far-right party people tend to become more obsessed with said far right party (especially if they don't follow politics).
Given Reform is cut from the same cloth as New Labour and the Conservatives (especially the latter, where most senior Reform staff served in Rishi Sunak's cabinet), the answer is yes.

i keep hoping people will look at state of america, to me voting reform will take us down the same path

only illegal immigrants and no the only reason I was gonna vote for them was they can’t be any worse then labour or conservatives but now I’m not voting for any of them

I'd sooner spoil my Ballot than vote for them, I'm voting Green.
Of course it's entirely up to people who they vote for but caveat emptor (buyer beware)

Disabled people voting Reform would literally be like Turkeys voting for Christmas or Thanksgiving.
