Decision on PIP review
Had a text message yesterday to say that my PIP review decision had been made and to wait 2 weeks for my letter to come through. It doesn’t mention needing any further information or attending for an assessment - does this mean it’s all straightforward and my award has been made without the need for an assessment? Is there any way I can find out the result of this decision before receiving my letter?

I had to have my review form back to them by 4th April 2026. Had a text yesterday to say that a decision had been made. I don’t know which way to think - do I need an assessment or don’t I? I have been on PIP since having an RTA in May 2012. I am hoping and praying that with all these changes taking place that I don’t lose it…!!

Hi welcome to the forum.
It sounds like you had a paper based assessment and as the text message advised you, you will receive a decision letter in two weeks.
It doesn't necessarily mean an award will be made, but the letter will let you know the outcome of your assessment either way.

@luvpink
thank you for your reply. I have been on PIP since 2012 and this was a review. I will just have to wait to receive my letter and see what the outcome is. Hoping all is fine.0 -
Hi
I sent my hubby's review forms back in Jan 25 and we've just had the letter stating he's on enhanced for both for a ongoing award we were in total shock, his was also paper based. When we had the text I contacted the automated pip line and it told us when and what is next payment was, so we new it was granted again. Good luck 🤞

Hope you get the right outcome loubyloo, as Snuggles65 suggests, if you phone the PIP enquiry line, one of the automated options leads you to a recording that tells you what and when your next payment will be, so you might be able to work it out from that. Good luck!

Hi @loubylou_1971
It sounds like you had a paper based assessment so hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for the answer😊0 -
