how we hear thoughts

If we had our eyes on our arms instead of our face would we still instinctively feel that our thoughts are behind our skull. Or what if we had an eye on our arm and face would it feel part of our head and our thoughts are processed behind it?

    So you cannot detect the difference with the voice/image or sound not being processed by your senses? No subtle difference other than the likely hood of probability of not being real?
