considering starting a charity

hi I am currently in receipt of universal credit including the disability element

I have recently returned to fishing after many years however I found there was no support for disabled anglers

Because of this I started a group on social media and was very surprised in the amount of disabled anglers needing help

Because of this I’m considering starting a charity to help raise funds to give and support to fishing venues and any disability groups

Im very afraid and nervous as to how this would affect my benefits

Can anybody help or advise me please

This sounds like a great idea and it's nice to hear you've picked up an old hobby again!

I'm not 100% on the answer to your question sorry and wouldn't like to advise wrongly so it may better to contact Universal Credit directly, Citizens Advice or a qualified benefit specialist.
