would like to know the age old question about green power and veleco

i am a scooter user al ready and i would like to know the age old question about green power and veleco. I would like to up grade to a road scooter with a longer range (30to 40 miles). I am concered that the two companies ere somehow connected.i do really fancy the veleco scooter but am nervous about the reliability and service back up .
