Hi welcome to the community.
The assessment report is sent to a decision maker who will send you a letter in due course letting you know the outcome of your claim.

@kellywhite1982 Hi and welcome to the community :) I’m sorry it is taking so long and I really hope you get good news too. I don’t know the answer to your question but I can appreciate worrying about it as I also worry about my own. I hope you’re okay tonight :)

Some suited DWP jobsworth who doesn't know the OP from Eve.

Is asking for advise because she is clearly extremely anxious.
Your comment is insensitive and unhelpful.

Hi @kellywhite1982 and welcome to the community. I'm sorry you're so worried. A lot of us here have been through this and can relate to how you're feeling. It's impossible to say how long it will be before you get a decision as it can range from days to months unfortunately. Hopefully you'll get a positive outcome, but if not, you can always appeal it. It's quite common to go to appeal, otherwise known as a Mandatory Reconsideration.
I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. Try and think of it as there's nothing you can do to change the decision right now. Once you get the decision, if needed, you can move to the next step and appeal. We can support you through it.

thanks I got told today it’s been asugned to case manager so I’m still waiting but really worried because Iv waited so long since early feb but my partner got his assessment and got txt 4 days later saying he’s got it yet Iv waited 3 months which scares me into getting opposite outcome
Thanks for msgs me

Every case is unique so try not to compare yours to your partners. It doesn't reflect what the decision is going to be so try not to think that. I wish we knew why there was such a difference in timescales because it would put a lot of people's minds at ease.

At the risk of playing peacemaker here….. it's easy to lose context in the written word when tone of voice and inflection isn't heard, and as Mum of an autistic adult I can vouch for the fact that expressing views in a sometimes abrupt sounding and bald way is quite common! (having been on the end of it many times !) I don't think SheffieldMan intended to be rude towards Kelly, more disparaging towards the DWP? @kellywhite1982 - if it helps, my original claim took 4 months to come back and my review just 2 weeks. I think it's all a little bit random depending on all sorts of factors but not an indicator of any particular outcome. It is really hard not to worry though, I really hope you don't have to wait too much longer

Thank you but someone using terms such as "jobs worth" to describe a decision maker is not helpful when an anxious person has requested support, and such terminology is completely unnecessary when used in any context.

Totally know how you feel . It’s frustrating and raises anxiety, I’ve been waiting since early January, had a letter last week saying they have all the information they need and will write in due course… more waiting! I’m trying to close off from it but it’s not easy when we’re suffering with other things . It’s stressful to say the least , seems every case is so different where some hear quickly and others wait months and months. Good luck .

I spoke to pip they said they have finally sent my decision out today in post but Iv not had a txt to say if Iv been awarded does this mean I haven’t been awarded ? As they said will take couple weeks for letter to arrive this is making me worry so much now no in I haven’t received a txt to say if I have I’m worried now

Hi
They don't send text to say you have been awarded or not, usually just to say your review is completed.
The decision letter will inform you of the outcome.
Good luck.
