After trying out both the Quickie Q50R Carbon, and the Motion Healthcare Electron, both very light folding powerchairs, I decided they weren't suitable for my needs; more for someone wheeling around a shopping centre.

The DE08L i have gone for, it is twice the weight, but breaks into two pieces, and can tackle outdoor spaces with ease.

    My small house is drowning in mobility equipment. This takes me to 2 scooters, 2 powerchairs, 2 rollators, not to mention a 7 foot hospital bed in the living room.

    Just asked The Red Cross to take an armchair, as I can't move in here, it's like "Mopatop's Shop"!

    I hope asking The Red Cross to take your armchair gives you a bit more space. There has to be room for Gus. @ColonelBlink

    A local mobility shop demonstrated the chair in my house yesterday, and i paid up front. Might have it by the middle of next week.

    My boot scooter is to be sold next week, I have been without a car since last May, so it serves no purpose.

    Boot scooters are no use on broken, uneven pavements, and that would have applied to the Quickie Q50R Carbon folding powerchair too. This model is heavier, but manageable for a rare car journey, as it splits into two setions. More importantly, it can handle woodland paths, poorly maintained pavements etc, it is versatile.

    I am keeping my class 3 Quickie Q700M for in the house, in fact I slept on it last night, tilted right back. It is very supportive. A bit of a waste of a class 3 powerchair, keeping it indoors, but I will know next time, that a class2 Q300M would suffice; that will be much cheaper to lease from Motability.
