Separating UC telephone account

I will need to separate our joint UC claim from my husband. He is currently in hospital awaiting rehousing and we cannot live together any longer upon his discharge. Is it best to wait until he has his new address before informing UC of the split and starting the process? I want as little hassle as possible and I'm currently power of attorney over all our benefits thanks
