If I was to talk to the PIP people today about getting a Motability Car...
And hiring a designated driver, would they be able to help me? I know it's a long weekend for the Bank Holiday so they might not be open.
I can look the number up on Google.

Hi @SheffieldMan1976 as long as you're receiving the appropriate benefits, you can begin looking at cars and speaking with Motability however you'd probably need to agree the main driver beforehand. I'm not sure that DWP would help with locating and financing the named driver.

The process is to go to a dealership offering Motability services, with your designated driver who takes their driving licence, you your award letter
If you haven't got a designated driver lined up, family, friends and carers are all accepted. The designated driver must live … I think it's within 5 miles of your address

The designated driver would possibly be one of the staff here so that's not an issue.
Thanks for the other info, I've done some Googling and found a local dealer who has a nice little Ford Kia Sport model for a £200 upfront payment.
