New role-full time!!
I'm really struggling. I am in receipt of LCWRA and was working part-time. I got offered a new role but was told only full-time. I was desperate to escape the existing role & so took the plunge.
I was doing alright and then something triggered me badly on Wednesday evening (I have PTSD) and the last two days I can't even focus/concentrate. I've done nothing really, can't focus.
I really wanted this to be the move away from benefits and financial anxiety.
Feeling very low. I'd love to hear some success stories :-)

Hi @justsaying2025 I'm sorry things are so difficult at the minute. I know first hand, just how paralyzing this can be. I had to leave my last place of work (approx. 14 years), due to complex trauma resurfacing. I completely broke and couldn't do anything - even the smallest of tasks. Had to take a month off (something I never anticipated doing - I always thought I was "strong - I can handle anything" until I couldn't). After the time off, I went back on a phased return part time, but the pressure of work was just too much for me with everything else I was processing and the support wasn't enough to help me get back to myself so I chose to leave.
After a bit more time off just to breathe, process it, and get some support for it all I was more ready and found another job where the environment was very different. It's helped massively.
I'm sharing this, because whether the triggers are work related or not, having the right work environment can have a huge impact on the ability to manage it (for me anyway). 😊
Do you feel comfortable talking to your boss about how your feeling? It might be they put something in place to help such as working remotely during periods when things are more difficult, or having a bit of time off when needed. Or if they won't do part time, maybe a day a week less might help a little?

Also wanted to ask if you're receiving any support at the moment? I've popped a comment on another post and tagged you with some alternative options my cousin shared with me recently that might be helpful 😊

Hi Holly, thanks so much for taking the time & trouble to reply. Made me cry a little bit given the crickets hahaha. I'm guessing you as a moderator do the rounds of the unreplied posts. Bless you.
Sadly the trigger wasn't the job it was the police. Unsolicited call at my home and arguing with me on my doorstep. My perp is within ear shot and the DC is talking about the video interview. The disrespect would make me angry if I wasn't terrified.
I couldn't find the link you describe but not to worry. I've not had the best experience of 'paid' support.
Best wishes xx

Hello justsaying2025. I am glad Holly replied.
I am sorry you had such a thoughtless police officer visit you. Literally can't make up some of the stupidness from some of them.
I hope you get some time and feel like you diserve a break so you can recalibrate/reset/recover. Sorry if those words are a bit jolting, I can't think of a way to say it. It being time where you have no pressure or stress. All the best.x

Hi Legwax, unfortunately I've only just finished the training for the full time role so I really need to get on with it. Big girl pants… although I'm sofa rotting at the moment hahaha.
Thanks for replying & your understanding re police. Made me feel less alone. xx
