Would my benefits be in jeopardy if I asked for re training for a suitable job?
Hi i have been ill health retired from my job. I am in remission from prostate cancer and suffering with ongoing side effects from treatment. I am also a type 2 diabetic. I have osteoarthritis in both knees which causes pain both fay and night. I also have a lower back issue which also causes me pain . I have high blood pressure which is controlled with medication. I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have had suicidal ideation. I am in receipt of pip and I'm in a support group for new style esa . Would my benefits be in jeopardy if I asked for re training for a suitable job?

Hi,
PIP isn't in jeopardy unless the training you do contradicts the functional reasons that you were awarded it.
New Style ESA shouldn't be in jeopardy from training, but it is subject to Permitted Work rules. This means that you can only work up to 16 hours a week and earn no more than about £200 a week. You must notify ESA of the intended job and hours before you start working.
