Hi @fionamary and a warm welcome to the communtiy from me!

Australia sounds amazing! How long are you going for?

You can go abroad for up to one month without your universal credit being impacted😊

I read that but my friend went to see his family and went for 6 weeks and had his UC stopped and he had to reapply when he got home so he had some in February then nothing until last week after he reapplied and he had to prove that he went send copies of his tickets, they said it was because it went over two assessment periods so he lost March and April

can someone confirm that if you go on holiday for a month it has to be in your assessment period . As if you go over you will lose UC

Hi @fionamary. You are able to go abroad for up to one month without it affecting your UC, as long as you report it via your journal and stick to your claimant commitment. It doesn't matter if it goes across two assessment periods, as long as it's one month or less.

Are you planning on going anywhere nice?
