Deadline not met for tribunal
I was receiving pip last year high rate daily living and standard mobility .. I got intouch with them has a worsening condition due a massive saddle pulmonary embolism comprising my heat and lungs ..it affected my mobility and I had TKR three months prior to this and have severe osteoarthritis in my other knee ..they closed my claim and I did the MR which failed , now taken it to tribunal which I’m awaiting a reply from .Sent all the supporting medical evidence but the DWP have missed the deadline so my question is do I just continue waiting for a response from tribunal ? I wish I’d never reported the worsening condition now tbh as they stopped my claim I’d had for a year for no reason at all .. new to all this so just need a bit of advice.

Hi @shelle64 and welcome to the community. I believe it can be common for the DWP to miss their own deadlines. There is a huge backlog with PIP at the moment so this is possibly contributing to the delay. Have you tried calling them to get an update?

And it's also the case more often than not that they're completely unaware of their own flippin' rules regarding benefits… The mind boggles!

These deadlines don't mean anything, the DWP often miss them. Just have to keep waiting as if there was never a deadline at all.
