could I drive my own car aswell as having use of the motability car too?
Hi i am receiving motability i couldn't drive due to my epilepsy so my wife drives the car but now I can get my license back could I drive my own car aswell as having use of the motability car too?

I'd imagine that would be okay but it may be worth contacting Motability just to make sure.0 -
If you have your own car and can legally drive it, they'll probably tell you to give the Motability car back.

Motability is open to anyone who gets the high rate of PIP. They are allowed to own another car and pay for it privately themselves.
The Motability car must still only be used for the benefit of the disabled person though. The claimants wife can't use it for her own benefit.
And the disabled road tax exemption can only be used on one vehicle. The claimant would have to pay the full rate of road tax on their private car.
