Im so confused. Will I get LWCRA backpay?

hi I’ve been on esa wrag group since 2017, I changed over to UC still in wrag group, in October 2025 I sent back my in UC50 form to get LCWRA. I had my assessment in May 2026 where I got it. So Im now getting LCWRA, I haven’t had to send in any fit not so will I get back payment if so from what date, I had my first LWRCA in June 2026. Many thanks

    Did the DWP send the UC50 out of the blue, or did you trigger the WCA process by reporting a change in your health?

    The LCWRA element should be paid from the start of the UC assessment period in which you returned the UC50.

    Only if OP reported a change in health

    If the DWP sent them the review form out of the blue, LCWRA element first applies in the Assessment Period in which the decision was made, so no backpay.
