in Start here and say hello!

Hi. My new housing officer contacted me and said he was making house visits in the area and may knock on my door do i have to let him in. I always pay my rent and am not on benefits

    You don't have to let him in but they may arrange to come back another time.

    A visit is usually to check the condition of the landlords property. Not about payments or benefits.

    Personally I would make it known that I can't cope with anyone randomly knocking on the door. (Though legally there are instances where they can enter a property regardless of the tenants conditions).
