hi everyone. so i have an adult autism assessment for myself (25F) on wednesday via microsoft teams video call with psicon. however, i no longer have an appointed person (they’ve completely ghosted me and i can’t contact them) and im scared there wont be an outcome for me because im alone, i dont have parents (fully cut off and extremely estranged) or siblings or friends to vouch in for me. what do i do in this situation? i’ve seen forums of people saying they got an outcome regardless of having no appointed person but i really need this assessment. would just me and my memories and recollections be enough? i don’t have any stuff with me like school reports as they’re with my parents and i really don’t want to go through the pain and hassle of talking with them again. any info and advice would be appreciated thank you xx

Hi @justanobody00. I don't have experience of this, but from looking online I don't think you need an appointee but it would be beneficial to have one to get a different perspective. Are you able to remember a lot from your childhood? I'm sure the more information you're able to give them the easier they can assess you and get you the appropriate support. Have you tried reaching out to Psicon?

You said that you're alone. Do you feel you need any support?
