Hi all, hope everyone is ok :)

Just a question on this tp as im finding it all confusing .i was on ir esa lcwra,n got put on cb when migrated over to uc- what happens once its eroded? As uc deduct when rent increases etc- once thats gone does that mean i will have to pay the difference? Or does everything stop then once tp does n uc pay full rent? I never had this on ir? Thanks :)

    Once it's eroded all that means is the standard UC rates have caught up with your Transitional Protection amount.

    Whether you get full rent paid or not doesn't depend on TP.

    So at the moment any rent increase gets taken from the Transitional Protection.

    Once your TP is zero, no deduction will be made because there is nothing to deduct from. UC would then increase your Housing Element (if applicable) as before but now with no deduction.

    If you have unanswered questions then I'd recommend contacting a local welfare rights organisation.
