What's one skill or talent you wish you could be a master of?
I stumbled across a really cool free climber on Instagram last night and really made me miss climbing. I used to climb mainly short routes at the Peak District and have had some training on leading etc but haven't done it for a while and this made me want to pick it up again. I'd love to be as good as some of the professionals - they make it look so natural!
If you could be a master of a skill or talent, what would it be?

Sewing, so I can make my own costumes without having to wait for one of the staff who only works on Sundays, or pay someone to do it.

That would be very handy @SheffieldMan1976! Have you thought anymore about a sewing machine?

Too expensive and nowhere to store it Holly.
Also probably a bit dangerous given my poor dexterity.

Oww, that's a shame. I was really hoping you'd be able to find a work around.

I really really really wish I could draw well and reliably. I’ve had so many books and guides on how to learn but I’ll do the first page, get annoyed I’m not yet making masterpieces and give up.
Is there anything you’ve learned how to do through sheer dogged persistence?

Mine would be dance. I had modern dance classes when I was little and a little bit of ballet at one point, but never properly got into it. Similar to your climbing, @Holly_Scope, the masters make it look so easy! Don't think I'll ever get there really with my body how it is, so I'll just have to settle for bringing out my terrible moves at weddings and events 😋

I'd like to fly a plane and be a stunt pilot

Remember when Line Dancing was a thing back in the mid 90s? Which was probably started by "Hillbilly Rock" on Emmerdale? My Parents used to attend classes.

That would be really cool. Have you ever tried a simulator?

I used to work at the local social club, and they had a line dancing meet up every month. Have you ever done it? I've always wanted to learn.
They also had a Rock N Roll night which was really cool. Had proper rockabilly dancing, live bands. Was such a great atmosphere.

That's a shame @Rosie_Scope. I can definitely see you being into dance! Did you do ballet for long? It amazes me the discipline, especially the feet. Can't knock a bit of terrible wedding dancing! 💃

Can I choose everyone's answers so far? 😁
I've played piano since I was young but I wish I'd kept up the practising so I could be a master of it now.
Oh my gosh, line dancing! We used to do it at school @SheffieldMan1976 @Holly_Scope. I quite enjoyed it.

Not me personally, although you could argue that doing Martial Arts is a bit like dancing, doing all the moves in the right order for instance.

Restoring things like furniture, old books, ceramics

That would be a really cool thing to master! Have you dabbled in it at all?

I actually want to do Sky diving, but I highly doubt they'd let disabled/neurodiverse 50 year old me do it on health grounds.
