Have a grumble.

Grrr @Amberpearl! I'm not much of a football fan either so it's annoying that everything is so football focused at the moment!

There was water on my kitchen floor and I stepped in it with clean socks on.

Oh no @Mr_Shoes_Tied! That's one of the worst feelings
We've been looking after a dog who leaves a trail of water on the floor after she drinks so I've been very familiar with that feeling this week too 🤢

I once had a place in Harold in Bedfordshire . First weekend I was confronted by a man who had let himself in. Said he was friends of the owner. Grabbed the key and told him and his women to sod off. The property belong to a wealthy businessman who gave out keys to friends for weekends away.

That sounds scary @jonf! Glad you took the key from them. Were they understanding?

One of my big grumbles is about folk that's daft enough to take the "Red Bull gives you wings" slogan literally.
Like a guy in the US who drank it and tried to fly off Niagara Falls, obviously failed, and tried to sue the Red Bull company for false advertising! Muppet.

I wonder, though, whether companies should be more cautious with their adverts, since they’re advertising to people with mixed levels of understanding and reading ability, and not everyone picks up on nuance.

I agree 100%
Everything has been moved for it

it was years ago and yes they were shocked too. Cannot say the company name but it is very well known.

I now have to waste half a day changing address information to everyone. It would be so nice if we could have a central database as this is going to be a mammoth task for my brain.

why do I have to queue for so long to foreign call centers. 37 minutes yesterday just to change my address with one company. Grrr
0 -
Urgh, I hate having to do admin tasks like this too @jonf. Hope you managed to get it sorted today.

The weather not making it's mind up is annoying me today. I'm ready for a bit more sunshine now.

I was reminded of Albus' "Have A Grumble" thread, and i'm thinking he would have hoped that those who have something to get off their chest, that they could let it all out here.

What's your grumble of the day @ColonelBlink?
Mine is I have ran out of my favourite shower gel but didn't notice until I was in the shower!1 -
I try not to complain, I personally find it self defeating. If pressed, I will however admit that i got locked out yesterday, and had to sit in the cold for 2 hours.
It was quite shocking how quickly a joiner gained entry, he used a length of wood ( No details provided on security grounds!) through the bathroom window, his agile apprentice squeezed through, jumped over the toilet, then appeared at the front door, grinning broadly, with Gus jumping all over him.

At the moment, my main grumble is that nobody ever tells you important info till after the bloomin' fact! I had various agendas today, none of which have been achieved because another resident's gone all the way down to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire in the House car.
