Hi my name is Frances, and I am on LCWRA for fibromyalgia and hemiplegic mygraines. I would love to book a holiday with a friend, but am scared that I would loose my benefit. I have relapses where i cant get out of bed for days, then other times i can be ok for days, so i know its a chance id be taking, but do I have to inform Universal Credit if i went somewhere for two weeks and took that chance?

Hi @frances07, welcome to the community. As your are on LCWRA, you will have no work commitments so you don't need to tell them you're going on holiday. Many conditions fluctuate and feeling well enough to go away doesn't mean you'd suddenly be able to work again. I hope you can take that time to relax and unwind a bit and that your conditions stay stable enough for you to enjoy yourself ☺️

Have you got an idea of where you'd like to go on your holiday?

thank you for your advice. That’s wonderful news. I’ve no idea yet, but my friends and family have things planned for this year, and have asked me to join them, but I’ve been to afraid to. I thought that if I have some more stable times over the winter months I might take one of them up on their offer next year. It’s very lonely being on your own and in pain a lot.

That sounds super exciting @frances07! You should definitely take them up on the offer, I'm sure once you get there you'll have a fab time. 😊
