Are there any affordable Smart Watches that actually work?

Until fairly recently I had a Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch 6, which I'm still paying the Airtime and device plan on from O2, except the damn thing's almost never worked so I've asked my Brother to send it back as he's currently paying for my accounts, my phone account was paid off towards the end of April but I'm still paying for the Watch.

Anyway, are there any decent Smart Watches I could get on a fairly cheap contract that actually work?

I'm looking at Google Pixel Watches as I have a Google phone, I can't use an Apple Watch as I don't have Itunes.

    I bought my Grandad one to try from Amazon. It was about £25 and works perfectly with his android phone. No contract required and he's quite happy with the one he's got so we've not bought a more expensive one. 😊

    @Holly_Scope The problem with using an unbranded non contract Watch is that there's almost no customer or technical support when it goes wrong.

    Just get an ordinary one then..A google one will set you back £300 or more and will have a short life span like all their products, same goes for Apple.

    Ahh yes, that's a fair point. I guess it depends how much use you'll get out of it. There are mid-level value of watches at places like Argos which will have some level of warranty and maybe an additional support package I've seen.

    Is your brother sending your current watch back because it's faulty? If so, will they replace it as it's on contract?

    I don't know, the man works full time and has 2 demanding kids (although technically our Harvey's 18 so he's not a kid any more)

    I texted him on WhatsApp this morning about it, he's acknowledged the message, no response otherwise, no doubt he'll message Mum complaining about me "hassling" him.

    If youre looking for the health tracking like blood pressure, heart rate, sleep, etc. aspects mainly, I highly suggest the Samsung Ring! Its been amazing at accurately tracking everything (vs fit bits which try to push your readings to "normal") and I only have to charge it once a week. Its been brilliant for getting information to my GPs and for my own tracking.

    I hhad tried a lot of different types of smart watches but they were either super inaccurate or stopped working fairly quickly, or needed too often charging so I couldnt track sleep as well as daytime use.

    HHighly Suggest if its not the other apps youre after!

    I got a cheap no name one that was highly praised by some reviewers. On receipt of it, the interface is really janky, and its barely functional, went straight back in box. Getting a well known brand, is probably a good idea for this.

    I bought the very first apple watch for £245 I think, when it came out, it did nothing but ask me to sign in, even though I was signed in. The battery life is was awful, by the time I'd walked round our huge park here it wanted charging. I went back to my Seiko, a lot better.

    I'll do some Googling, I wouldn't normally wear a ring but this might work.
