Hi, my name is Sueh63!
Hello,
We are a mixed age couple and in receipt of a joint claim for UC Hubbie has LWRCA and I receive carers allowance and the carers element in UC he also receives PIP, he is due to receive his State Pension in Sept. I am aware his State Pension will be deducted £ for £ but I have read elsewhere that the LWRCA will remain on the claim until I myself retire in another 4 years I enquired on our journal and was told it would end so now I don't know what to believe I'm worried sick as we would be receiving over £400 per month less if this is true could you please offer any advice? also is it correct his PIP would transfer to a light touch review as his current 4 year award ends in 2029.
Many Thanks

I wouldn't rely on Journal staff for benefit advice, they administer claims rather than being particularly knowledgeable or fully trained.
A local welfare rights organisation should be able to help.
