Hi.
I have been diagnosed with high-functioning autism but this didn't stop me from being denied PIP. Add to that the fact that my DLA is going to stop and I won't be getting any more money.
I live in Aldridge, near Walsall, in the West Midlands.
How I ended up out of work is a long story.
I hope to get to know others on here.

@CockneyRebel
I didn't know you could ask for a mandatory reconsideration, though I appreciate you telling me about it. Only now have I just heard about this community from my brother. What is a mandatory reconsideration?
Cheers
Sean -
The first stage to challenging a decision is to request a mandatory reconsideration ( MR ) You should do this within 1 month of the date on your decision letter.
You should ask for a copy of the assessment report first. You should ring and write to the DWP to request that they look at the decision again. If you have any further evidence to support your claim you should send it in .
Once you have a MR decision if you are still do not agree with your award you can then appeal to the tribunal
