Does anybody have any engineering designer contacts ?
I have come up with a viable design for a tracked "electric lawn creeper" and want to take it further …… I need a University contact or similar…..
thanks

I hate to break it to you, but just designing a device based on your sketch will cost thousands, not to mention manufacturing it.

I am aware of that - and that is why I wondered whether any university would be interested for a final year project …

@Wibbles I didn't get a chance to comment in the thread where you posted the parts/ costings etc but I was impressed with the breakdown of everything needed
I've only done very small engineering things, such as fabricating Land Rover chassis's for restoration or milling lathe work, or car and plant mechanicals and I think the project outline is very doable. The market for something like that must be huge in the UK alone
Bath University are meant to be very good engineering wise … maybe drop them a mail and ask them to point you in the right direction to someone ?
Good luck, I think it's a fantastic idea … on paper and in a practical sense
