Hi, my name is Jaxster2026! Is it normal to wait 5 months for WCA?

I first sent a sicknote in on 5th of February filled in the WCA booklet middle of March.. I haven't heard a thing since is this normal... I've got a half hour appointment by phone with UC on 1st of July is this the next step before a decision is made….

    Yes unfortunately the whole process can take a long time.

    In a small number of areas DWP do the assessment, but it's usually a Health Assessment Agency who do them.

    The call from UC is unlikely to be regarding your assessment - what is the wording on the Journal entry for your appointment?

    For your assessment, you can enquire directly with the health assessment agency about waiting times.
