It's exactly 6 months to Christmas!

I saw it somewhere and had to spread the, um, joy - sorry for the interruption

    Omg we're halfway there!! 50% done. Midway to the finish line. What a fabulous feeling. Here's a song for those who love Christmas as well as for those who hate it. This is the classic "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues... ๐Ÿ˜Š

    I can't begin to think about christmas yet. Although it would be good to be prepared and not leave present buying until the last minute!

    I once worked in a Supermarket on placement from College, just before Christmas.. I was like, if I hear THAT Slade song on repeat once more I'll shoot somebody.

    Nooooo! Your comment reminds me of my old manager, bless her. She loved Christmas so much, especially the music. We had music playlists on repeat throughout December. (She tried for earlier, but we outright refused ๐Ÿ˜‚). It was day in, day out. Felt like I was going through some sort of social experiment. ๐Ÿ˜… She's a lovely lady though, and cute how excited it made her.

    Just when you think it's going to be a good day โ€ฆ

    The second next worse C word I dread.

    My wife and I had a 'conversation' in May when she came back with decorations from a Discount Matalan Clearance store

    @StarryEyed โ€ฆ best C song ever. Next to The Killers โ€ฆ Don't Shoot Me Santa

    Good to see you back ๐Ÿ˜Š

    That was a lovely thing to doโ€ฆ Must have been hard work though, getting everything out every month but definitely worth it. And I love you got plenty of Christmas celebrations in before he sadly passed โค๏ธ

    We can all celebrate with EastEnders tonight at 7:30 pm - Nicola is hosting her annual half-Christmas ๐ŸŽ„

    @Santosha12 and @WelshBlue ๐Ÿค—

    @Toppy64 and @kreacher for real??? Now I'm thinking of starting presents as I could make jewellery for friends and family, so starting now would be a good idea. Good excuse to start celebrating I think ๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸŽ…

    Here's another Christmas song that's for people who hate it and those who love it because the lyrics are depressing and the video is kind of sad too. But the song is beautiful and there is a flicker of hope in the song in thinking about the Christmas lights. That's actually what I love most about Christmas - it's intensely bittersweet. This is Coldplay singing "Christmas Lights."

    @WhatThe and @SheffieldMan1976 I've never heard of the East Enders, so looked it up. What a beautiful idea of half Christmas. I'm going to do that next year. It's on my calendar. Thanks for bringing this up. โ˜บ๏ธ

    @Toppy64 indeed it's a great idea to start early to make presents more affordable. The earliest I ever started was September one year, knowing I'd be alone for Christmas, so I wanted to make the best of it by preparing well in advance. I bought for others, but I also bought lots of presents for myself. The ones I bought for myself I wrapped right away, hoping I'd forget by Christmas what I wrapped. Sure enough, come Christmas I forgot almost all my presents and was just thrilled in opening them, thinking, "OMG this is EXACTLY what I wanted!!!" ๐Ÿ˜

    I don't understand - does this mean I won't have to throw out the Christmas tree today?
