Spinal Destination comedy series

I've just started watching Spinal Destination on U/Channel 4. Anyone else seen it?

It's a comedy series set in a spinal unit in New Zealand, and we follow Tessa who has recently become paralysed. I find the scenes, situations and behaviours depicted relatable and hilarious. I only have experience as an ambulatory wheelchair user, but the story is based on the creator's own experience so I suppose it is authentic. Another big plus is that many cast members are disabled.

Ooh @MissMarple, thanks for the recommendation. I've not heard of this before, but it might have to be my lunchtime watch today! How many episodes have you watched so far?

I enjoyed We Might Regret This on BBC too. Sounds like a slightly different vibe to Spinal Destination, but still fun and thought-provoking in equal measure and with a disabled lead.

I watched the first three episodes @Rosie_Scope Unfortunately there are only six. Hope you'll like it too.

I watched this at lunch and enjoyed the dark comedy of it @MissMarple! Quite a tough watch in places with some of the stuff she's dealing with, but as you say, it's very relatable. I think a lot of us would recognise that tough, slightly meaner version of Tessa clashing with the vulnerable one! I'm definitely interested to see where it goes

I finished the series as it was only 6 short episodes. I really enjoyed it. It's a shame that it looks like that's all they've made.
