Be interesting to see whether the voters in Clacton actually re-elect him, odd though, he is the present m.p for Clacton then resigns forcing a by-election only to ask the people to choose him to be the m.p. for Clacton. you couldn't make it up mun!

He never turns up for his own constituents' Surgeries down in Clacton anyway.
That's why he actually doesn't want to be PM, because he'd be legally obligated to actually turn up to the House of Commons and do some work.

Professor Curtice just said Farage will likely get back in. Great eh, every time you get found out grifting, just resign and stand for re-election in the by-election, the slate wiped clean.
This is just like the MAGA phenomenon. His supporters in Clacton will never stop loving him, no matter what.

Love or hate Farage at least he is giving the people the choice as to whether to have him as their MP.
My MP changed party within three months of being voted for and no by-election. I know they do not have too but they should. He is still my MP now but highly unlikely he will get in again at the next election.

They have the choice, absolutely, but he's only doing it because he is up to his neck in corruption allegations, and is too thin skinned to take any questions from the media about it. How this privately educated, ex city guy manages to pass himself off as a 'man of the people', i'll never know.
My MP stepped down in May, we had a by-election last month. He got himself elected to Holyrood instead, safe in the knowledge his party was virtually assured to hold the seat, which they did.

I do know what he is. The sad thing is he will get in again in Clacton.

What I do not understand is why he is doing it, because if he gets in again the investigation will continue.

And what gets me is that he's got all this going on, yet his supporters still think he's the Bee's knees (even though I am reliably informed Bees don't actually have knees?)

That is exactly what he's doing, he is facing scrutiny like never before, it comes with the territory what with being an MP and party leader.
