Rejected twice

Hello,

My first application for ADP was rejected and I got some help from a welfare rights officer for a mandatory consideration - still got rejected. They didn't contact my GP for any evidence and when I said I would send it in, they said the decision maker has already made their decision so there was no point. Is there any point taking this to tribunal?

Thanks

Hi @Mands1990, sorry to hear your case was rejected, that's always disheartening.

It's well worth trying the tribunal stage if you can manage it. The success rates are often much higher and many members have said that their tribunal panels were more understanding than others they met along the process. If you can, perhaps try and have a chat with the same welfare rights officer as they may be able to support you with what happens next.

Did you have to wait a long time for your mandatory reconsideration result?
