There's definitely a decline in taste and quality isn't there @rubin16? I remember how lovely cadburys used to be.

Yes, Cadbury's Dairy Milk Bar was my favourite chocolate at one point. Now I can't even stand the taste of them, and the chocolate looks funny (waxy) and is more crumbly.

I had a flake recently and had to spit it out (very unladylike I know! ๐Ÿ˜†) but it was just as you describe there @rubin16, crumbly and waxy. Nothing like I remember

I used to love the Cadbury chocolate nibbles so it's quite sad to hear that Cadbury have gone downhill!

For any dairy free folk or vegans out there, I really recommend Nomo. They do some really smooth "milk" chocolate in lots of different flavours such as caramel, fruit and nut, cookie dough etc and it's available in most supermarkets๐Ÿ˜Š

Galaxy chocolate is still the same as always as are ripples and my favourites Minstrels !

I had a bit of an obsession recently with Minstrels. I ate way more bags than any one person should!

Minstrels are too easy to eat multiple bags at a time - they don't show any evidence either - their shiny shells hide "misuse"โ€ฆ

I love Galaxy and Minstrels too!

The cure for Minstrels-misuse is either 1) don't buy them in the first place or 2) let them melt on your tongue so you eat fewer. Sorry I can't be of more help. I understand this won't be easy.

Haha thanks for the advice @WhatThe! I must say I saw the sharing bag was on offer and I was able to resist the temptation. Although they have been on my mind since ๐Ÿ˜‚

Morrison's Milk Chocolate came out top of five supermarket bars tested and reported in yesterday's Metro newspaper. I have tried it and it's pretty yummy!

I mistakenly claimed that vegans can eat dark chocolate but Morrison's Dark Chocolate contains butter oil which is probably why it taste so delicious. The milk version mentioned above also does.

I now only buy the dark for the extra cocoa content and less sugar as I'm getting on a bit... It definitely tastes sweeter from the fridge ๐Ÿ˜‰ who else agrees?

I'm genuinely glad that you've got back to me @WhatThe. I've had some disappointing food experiences recently and need a boost! I'll definitely try the milk and dark chocolate ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have to err on the side of caution with chocolate due to acid & bile reflux. But I do have it in limited amounts, I discovered these the other week. They are moorish, addictive and amazing.

You've just reminded me of the jaffa cookies @Rag_793 Have you tried them? They're dairy free and suitable for vegans. I tried them the other day and they were delicious๐Ÿ˜

A 165g package of McVitie's Jaffa Cookies in a dark blue wrapper with yellow-orange accents.

Do not, I repeat, do not go near the white chocolate. Safe to say I have tested it so you don't have to!
