Finding friends for my son and groups for him to go in and make new friends. He is 26 with learning disability. We are new to the area and it’s been hard to socialise .

Hi @Naomi23 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

What sort of things is your son interested in? What's his hobbies and interests?

There is Gig Buddies who match individuals with a volunteer buddy who shares similar interests so they can attend events together. Luv2meetU is a friendship and relationship service that organises fun local outings like bowling, meals and pub nights alongside regular online socials. There is also Mencap who have local branches offering day opportunities, sports groups, and community projects for people with learning disability. There are also Phab clubs who run weekly social activities, local outings all across the country.

It's worth checking your new local council website (under adult social care directory) as they should have information on community groups, services and schemes that may be suitable for your son😊
