Our Son(19) in between finishing 6th form & starting Uni. Holiday job & benefits
Hi.
This is our 1st post & hope someone can advise. Our Son who is 19 finished 6th form on the 17th of July & starts University in September. He has started a part time job(just over the School holiday period) & his hours range from 7 to 35 per week(35 this week, 21 next week, then 7 then 28). Do we need to inform UC & Child Benefit of this? Thank you.

Thanks, we contacted CB & was told as his hours over the upcoming month average out to 21 CB is not effected(classed as part time). UC sent us a link & asked us to fill out the benefits calculator. There was no calculator on the link that we could find, so have asked for clarification. No response as yet.

You should probably call or email them tomorrow, sorry for the rant but I am so over companies/organisations with the communication skills of a certain plastic Duck with the late Keith Harris's hand up his bum, who do not respond to emails unless they want something.
