Second universal credit review appointment
Hi,
Just looking for some reassurance as to a second UC review appointment. Any similar experiences? Our review has been going on for months now. We had our review calls about a month ago. In mine they asked for a couple of missing joint account statements which I immediately sent (oversight) one of which is never used. The other statement has nothing new than the ones I already sent for that account. Now they have booked me a 15 min appointment on Thursday. But if nothing is new what's there to discuss?!
This is making me so ill, I'm having real problems regulating my thoughts.
If I make it through this with ny sanity, I'm going to raise a complaint with my MP. The fact nothing is transparent and you cannot get any answers. Just demands. No way to call the assessor. Journal messages are shocking and generic. The stress and anxiety this is causing with no time scales for service users is appalling.
Thanks
Sarah

Hi @Sarahlou82 bless you, it's a very stressful process. With it being a short follow up call, I'd imagine they just have one or two things left to confirm with you now and then they'll be able to progress it further for a decision. I hope your call goes well, and you're able to pop it to the back of your mind as much as possible.

Thank you, had the call today. Like you said it was just 2 things she wanted clarified. She said that's it from her but we will get a message in the journal if they want anything else. I asked if the review was complete, she said it is. However I'm anxiously waiting for an update in the journal to say it's complete now. Hope it's soon 🙏

Hey @Sarahlou82, they don't always update to say it's complete which can be frustrating. I think most people have to assume that no news is good news! Just letting you know so you're not surprised if they don't, but I hope they give you some sort of conclusion or update.
