Buying a digital camera on Amazon.co.uk?
I can't afford to pay for my Prime account, but I just sorted the payment card on my Amazon account.
Could I use it to purchase an inexpensive digital camera to use at Comic Cons and stuff?
I realise I could use my phone but I prefer a proper camera.

I see no reason why you won't be able to do that @SheffieldMan1976 as long as digital cameras are allowed in the venue 😊

@Mary_Scope I'll have a look at some point.
And yes, cameras are allowed.

Well I've took the plunge and bought an Olympus camera on eBay this afternoon for £34.99.
Allegedly coming by the end of next week.

That's great! I much prefer the idea of using a camera than a phone.

Did you remember to order an extra roll of 35mm film? Kodak Gold is good. 🧐

I've still got my Olympus Trip, but the cost of getting film developed these days, it's just too expensive.

@ChrisR777 Thanks but it's a digital, nobody uses film based cameras any more.

I threw a 90s party a couple of years ago and used a disposable film camera so I could get 'authentic' photos. They came out great! Some were completely black and some were blurred and we didn't get to perfectly practise our poses. It was quite refreshing.

Some photographers still do, but they will have highly specialised equipment, not just my Olympus Trip compact camera. I know someone who still uses black and white film through preference. My Olympus TG - 6 is a digital camera though.

You can buy spools of film, the problem is getting them developed, no popping into Boots these days. Kodak have even stopped manufacturing 35mm film, but i'm sure it will be available online for years to come.
Unless one is a professional photographer or hobbyist, there is no reason to bother with the hassle.

The irony is, I've bought a few bits on that website, mainly cosplay items.
