DWP Carers' Allowance - HELP!

Hi,

For the years I have received CA, it's been four weekly. However, since living on my own (start of July), my payments became every 2 weeks due to 'admin' error. However, it has now been 17 days since I was last paid and there isn't any signs of payment. I will call CA today but it is like speaking to a brick wall, the people I have spoken to have no compassion and constantly blame the issue on something that isn't to do with them!

Prior to this, I made a formal complaint but I am getting so frustrated with having to keep chasing my benefits that prior to my move were fine - I was paid regurarly etc.

Has anyone got any advice, please?

    I have to admit this is not something I've come across before, did they ever explain what sort of admin error meant your payment frequency changed?

    I wonder if they have reverted you back to 4-weekly. Have you managed to get through to them this morning @toffeeapples?

    I had the same thought as you @Emilee in that they may have reverted back but it's a shame if so, that they hadn't provided any notice. Hopefully you get some clarity today @toffeeapples.

    Thank you both for your comments. Since then, I got a payment this Monday which was £345, the last time I received this amount was June time. Since then, it’s been every 2 weeks at £172.90. When I spoke to CA on the phone after writing the message above, they assured me the matter would be sorted but I have asked for my payments to be now made weekly so I know what I am doing in terms of budgeting, bills and general finances.
